The Castillon horse

This little horse, also known as the “Biros horse” or the “Saint Gironnais”, bred in the Ariège region, comes from very ancient wild hordes, of which local caves are said to show certain rock representations. It has been impregnated with oriental and especially Iberian blood. Threatened with extinction, it was saved by a group of passionate breeders in the 1980s.
