The Karabair horse
This ancient saddle horse, originally from the Central Asian state of Uzbekistan, is thought to be the result of crossbreeding between local, Mongolian, Iranian and Turkish breeds. The Arabian influence is evident in their resemblance. The Karabair contributed to the formation of the Don. When crossed with the Thoroughbred, it produces horses fit for competition.
